These are the travel sites and tools we look to when researching award travel and new or upcoming opportunities:

Frequent Miler - This site is an excellent resource for all things Award Travel. They are always on top of the latest credit card offers and transfer bonus opportunities.

10X Travel - This website has an excellent free course for beginners on how to enter the world of award travel. We highly recommend taking it!

Award Wallet App - This app can sync with all of your banks, airlines, or hotel programs where you have points and keep track of your balances for you. Our favorite feature in the app is the Merchant Code Lookup - anytime I’m unsure what category a particular vendor will code as, I check here and 9 times out of 10, I find an answer and can use the right card to maximize my earnings.

Travel Freely - This is both a website and an app. We find the app particularly useful for keeping track of our 5/24 status with Chase and browsing the current best card offers.

Upgraded Points - Another site we turn to for information on credit card welcome offers and current transfer bonus opportunities.

Flight Connections - This is a great site to see which airlines operate routes between two destinations. I love to check here for direct flights and then see what points I would need for an award redemption.

These are the sites we turn to for Disney Vacation Club news and research as well as Disney Parks planning information:

DVC Resale Market - Keep up with resale market prices here or find a contract to purchase. There are other sites with frequently lower prices but this is the largest Disney-only resale market so it’s great to browse and get a feel for what’s out there. They also publish a report with the monthly average price per point per resort and a report of any contracts that Disney bought back through ROFR (Right of First Refusal).

David’s DVC Rentals and DVC Rental Store - If you want to rent DVC points to save money or try before you buy a contract, these are two great options. The Rental Store has a flexible option that will give you a credit to use towards a future trip if you need to cancel, but it will cost you more. If you are an owner, you can also rent any points you can’t/don’t want to use through them. They both pay up to $18 per point.

DVC News - This site keeps on top of new DVC incentives, resort construction, member benefits, etc.

Touring Plans - This site and related app (Lines WDW) are centered around their ability to create data-driven Touring Plans to save you time in the parks. I enjoy playing around with the plans to get a sense of what I might be able to accomplish during a given period of time, but I do not follow these in park as I’m always using Lightning Lane so those return times guide my day. I do find Touring Plans Blog to be a worthwhile read and appreciate all the data they gather and report. Most importantly, the forum here is incredibly helpful. The regular posters here are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. This is not a corner of the internet where your question will be shamed and mocked. It is a wealth of information and invaluable in our planning. Touring Plans Room Finder is also a tool we use every single trip to place our room requests. It is not a guarantee, but I have received close to my room request each time I’ve submitted it through Touring Plans.

DVC Trip Planner - This site has a great DVC trip cost calculator. You put in your dates and it will populate the points cost for that stay at every resort and every room type so you can see at a glance what is possible with the number of points you have available to you.

Magical Resort Guide - This site posts the activity calendars of every Disney resort each month. It’s so nice to have this information in advance of a trip so you can plan around an activity if there’s one you or your kids would be interested in joining.

Owner’s Locker - We love this service! Do we need it in order to have a good trip? No. But the cost is worth the convenience for us. An Owner’s Locker is a storage bin that comes with some dividers and also a tackle box for storing small items. It is sealed shut with zip ties by the owner upon packing and is stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse and delivered to your resort by request. We filled up our locker so quickly that I might consider adding another on our next trip.
